Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 August 2026. Last updated: 26 August 2026.
This Privacy Policy is for Eraser Fight: Flag Battle (the "App"),
bundle id com.paolofurlan.EraserFight, on iPhone and iPad, and for this website.
The developer is Paolo Furlan (App Store name: Furlan Paolo).
Short version: the App does not collect your email, name, contacts, photos, or precise location. Release builds send anonymous gameplay statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase. The App shows ads from Google AdMob after a match, and those ads are not personalised. Pass-and-play does not need an account. Optional online play uses Apple Game Center. One optional purchase, Remove Ads, is processed by Apple and stops the ad SDK being used. On first launch of a Release build, the App may send one anonymous install ping (a random UUID, app version, device model, OS version, and locale) so the developer knows an install happened.
1. Information the App collects
- Local game data (on device only). Your eraser collection, scores, and settings stay on your device. The collection is a list of two-letter country codes and how many of each eraser you have won; it is never sent anywhere and nobody else can see it. Deleting the App deletes this data.
- First-launch install ping (Release builds only). Once per install, if the device has a network, the App may send: a random install identifier generated on the device (not IDFA, not IDFV), app version and build, device model, OS version, and locale (language and region). This is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the App does not show Apple's tracking prompt for it. Debug builds never send it.
- Apple Game Center (online play only). If you choose to play online, Apple signs you in to Game Center. Your Game Center nickname can be shown to the person you play. Match data is the recording of each flick (where the erasers went), not chat and not free text. We do not receive your Apple Account email or real name. Game Center is Apple's service: Apple Privacy Policy. You can sign out in iOS Settings. Pass-and-play still works without it.
- Google AdMob (ads). After a match, the App may show an ad supplied by Google AdMob. The ads are not personalised, everywhere in the world: no profile of you is built or used to choose them. Nothing is joined with data from other companies, so the App does not show Apple’s tracking prompt. Google’s privacy manifest for the ad SDK declares seven kinds of data it collects: advertising data (which ads were shown), a device identifier, coarse location, performance data, product interaction, crash data, and other diagnostic data. Coarse location means an approximate area rather than a GPS position — the App never asks for location permission — and it is the only one of the seven that Google declares as linked to your identity. All seven are declared as not used for tracking. Buying Remove Ads stops the App using the ad SDK at all.
- In-app purchase (Remove Ads). It is optional, and it is the only thing in the App that costs money. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see card numbers or Apple Account payment details. We only learn whether the purchase succeeded, so the App knows to stop showing ads.
- Firebase Analytics (Release builds only). The App records how a match goes — whether a turn scored, whether it went off the desk, how many turns a match took, which of the three ways in you used, which eraser a match moved (as a two-letter country code), and whether Remove Ads was bought. These exist to settle numbers the game’s balance was designed against and could only guess at. Google generates an app-instance identifier for this. The App never sends free text, your Game Center nickname, your opponent’s identity, room codes, or where you tapped. It is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Debug builds send nothing.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Release builds only). If the App crashes, it sends a diagnostic report: the crash itself, plus the Game Center match identifier and turn number it happened on, so the moment can be reproduced. No personal information is attached. Debug builds send nothing.
- Online kill switch. The App reads three settings from Firebase Remote Config so online play can be switched off if a bug ships. This is a read only — nothing about you is sent, and if it cannot be reached the App carries on as normal.
2. What we do not collect
- No Eraser Fight account and no password
- No email address and no real name
- No chat, messaging, or free text to other players
- No contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
- No location permission. The App never asks for GPS
- No personalised ads. Ads are chosen without a profile of you, in every country
- No sale of personal information
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites
3. This website
The site is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, URL, time) may be stored by the host to run the service. There is no marketing pixel and no ad network on these pages.
Google's processing is described in the Firebase privacy documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Children
The App is rated 4+. It is a school-desk game. It is not in the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are not personalised for anybody, so no profile of a child is built or used to target them. There is no chat. Pass-and-play needs no account. Online play is optional and uses Game Center, which a parent can restrict in Settings, Screen Time, Content and Privacy Restrictions.
5. Retention
Local game data stays on the device until you delete the App. The first-launch ping is a one-time message. We do not run a profile of you from it. Game Center data is retained by Apple under Apple's policy.
6. Your choices
- Delete the App to remove local data.
- Stay on pass-and-play. Online is never entered for you.
- Buy Remove Ads. The App then does not use the ad SDK at all.
- Sign out of Game Center, or restrict it with Screen Time, in iOS Settings.
- Email furlanpaolo90@gmail.com with a privacy question. We do not hold an account in your name, so there is usually nothing of yours to export or delete on our side.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new text on this page and update the date above.
